Cultivating Happiness & Positive Emotions
Comtemporary neuro-science has shown us that the human brain is designed for survival, not happiness. So if we want to live a truly happy life, if we want to feel happy as often as we can, we have to create a deep intention and commitment towards our happiness. We really cannot take it for granted and we cannot expect it to just arrive at our door in the morning – we have to cultivate happiness, nourish it, feed it and savour it when it comes to visit.
In this workshop you will learn practical mindfulness and self compassion skills to do just that.
10.00 – 16.00 on Saturday 9th July 2016
Venue: Chalfont St Peter Academy, Church Lane, SL9 9SS Cost: £75

Freeing Yourself from the Inner Critic
All of us have an inner critical voice, it is part of human nature. However, we do not have to be a slave to or victim of it’s messages and stories about us.
Mindfulness can help you to more readily recognise when the inner critic is in charge in your mind, can help you to steady yourself in the face of it’s negative messages and self compassion skills can re-orientate you towards supporting rather than attacking yourself, help you to motivate yourself with kindness and encouragement rather than fear and shame and allow you to be a better friend towards yourself.
Come and find out how at this rich and practical workshop.
