Working Mindfully with Stress
Chalfont St Peter – 1 day workshop – Working Mindfully with Stress – 18th July 2015
How often, after the fact, can you see a more skillful and helpful response than your habitual stress related reaction of getting angry or upset, blaming yourself or someone else, giving up, or feeling hopeless?
During this one day workshop, we will explore why our stress reactions emerge at lightening speed, usually before we have even had a chance to recognise that we have been triggered and how mindfulness can help us to replace these unconscious stress reactions with conscious stress responses.
Stressors in our lives are unavoidable – they are part of life – but we can learn healthy coping strategies to support us in our moments of stress.
On this day, you will learn simple skills to enable you to be more aware in the moment of stress, more mindful of your impulse to react and how to step out of your habitual patterns of stress related behaviour so that you can really support yourself in those moments.
Date: 10.00 – 16.00 on Sunday 18th July 2015
Venue: Chalfont St Peter Academy, Church Lane, SL9 9SS
